Turn, Kick, Reach® (TKR)

Our TKR swim program is what first made Baby Otter Swim School a trusted authority in swimming safety nearly 40 years ago. This proprietary system is designed for even the youngest of swimmers. In fact, your child only needs to know how to crawl to enroll. TKR serves the important purpose of teaching children what to do if they fall into the water. In addition, kids will learn basic water movements during this consecutive five-day course. Our TKR instructors offer a gentle, positive environment where your child can have a positive and empowering first experience in the water.

TKR Review

Our TKR Review class is intended to be taken directly after completing our TKR course. During this experience, new swimmers will have time to begin building core skills in the water. This course will also reinforce life-saving safety skills.

Beginning Strokes, Level 1

Intended to be taken after TKR Review, Level 1 is a great opportunity for refining newly learned skills. Students will spend time learning to float, roll, move their arms, and dive under the water for toys. In addition to building new skills, swimmers will also learn more about safety in the water.

Beginning Strokes, Level 2

Ready to level up? Level 2 is where swimmers can start to build refined skills. Breaststroke is the big takeaway from this course. Instructors will also cover rhythmic breathing for freestyle pretty intensely.

Beginning Strokes, Level 3

Continuing with Level 3 is a great way to help swimmers continue to build their skills. At this point, swimmers are beginning to layer their skills to feel more competent in the water than ever before. Topics covered include survival technique, treading water, and backstroke.

Adult Classes
