I grew up in East St. Louis, IL. I lived there most of my life before moving to Florida in 2017. I moved here to enjoy the fun in the sun and of course all of the beautiful beaches Florida has to offer. Although I loved the water, I did not know how to swim. I figured this was a skill that I needed to have if I was to call Florida my permanent home.

I contacted Baby Otter Swim School and asked them if they had time to teach an old military veteran how to swim, since I made sure my three boys knew how to swim at a young age. I was greeted with open arms and in no time, with skills Baby Otter showed me, I was able to confidently swim without any fear.

I was so inspired by what Baby Otter had done for me that I decided to work for the company as a volunteer to help bring awareness to the communities about the increase of drownings in the state. After working with the company for over two years, I decided that now was the best time than ever to start my own franchise with Baby Otter Swim School, so that I can do what I could to help Florida become a zero-drowning state.
